Why Not You?

Would you like to learn more about Foster Care and Adoption Services?  Have you always wondered what it takes to be a foster parent or if you could make a difference in a child’s life? LSS offers Foster Care Services in the Sioux Falls and Rapid City areas and Adoption Services across South Dakota. There are several upcoming opportunities for you to learn more about each.

Join us for the “Why Not You” event in Rapid City. On Why Not You Campaign 50%November 17th, Foster Care and Adoption agencies in Rapid City will be coming together to share information about Foster Care & Adoption services. Representatives from various agencies will be present to share about being a foster or adoptive parent and to answer any questions you might have. The event will be held at the Dahl Art Center (713 7th Street, Rapid City). There are two opportunities to attend this event: 12:00pm to 1:30pm or 6:00pm to 7:30pm. A Foster Care Informational Meeting and PRIDE Introduction will be held in Sioux Falls on Saturday, November 14th at 9:00am. The meeting will be held at the LSS Center for Children & Youth, 621 East Presentation Street, Sioux Falls. Foster Care staff will share information on the process to become a foster parent and the children served through LSS Foster Care Services. LSS provides Adoption Services for families looking to adopt a child domestically or internationally, for birth families facing difficult decisions regarding an unintended pregnancy, and for individuals who have been adopted and their families who are searching for information about their birth families.
