To benefit the Aberdeen Area

Do you want to support a worthy cause and take in some pheasant hunting at one fell swoop? Come out and show your support by joining the Third Annual Western Printing Pheasant Hunt!

All money raised will help families, children and individuals in the Aberdeen area who cannot afford needed services. A portion of the money will be used to defray costs for youth placed at New Beginnings Center in Aberdeen.

Jerry Feist, a clinical therapist at LSS Counseling Services in Aberdeen, completed training in Eye Motion Desensitization and Reprocessing, EMDR. EMDR is a treatment that has shown to be effective for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Aberdeen is home of both a National Guard and Army Reserve Unit and there are veterans in this area who have been exposed to some unimaginable experiences and many of them suffer from the impact of trauma.

At Steve Pfeifer’s request, through Western Printing, a percentage of the money raised will be earmarked for veterans. It is the goal to ensure that no veteran is suffering, as a result of service to this country, be denied access to services. If you are unable to attend, you can be assured that any donation to this event will be used to aid veterans and the less fortunate in the Aberdeen area community.

There is a $500 donation to LSS per hunter. Bird cleaning and social hour are included. Hunting and appetizers will be done by 4 p.m. to get hunters home for trick or treaters.
