Where does a person start learning about adoption? Some people research adoption on the internet, some may ask their friends and family, some turn to their pastor, and some just don’t know where to start. Many families have told me it is an overwhelming process researching and learning about adoption. The LSS Adoption program can help! Free information meetings are offered for those interested in learning more about the types of adoption and the process to adopt a child. Information meetings are offered in group or individual sessions. There is a group information meeting at LSS in Rapid City, SD (2920 Sheridan Lake Road) on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 6:00pm. The next group meeting at LSS in Sioux Falls, SD (621 East Presentation Street) is scheduled for Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 6:00pm. We ask that you please RSVP by contacting Hayley Van Den Brink at #888-201-5061 or Hayley.Vandenbrink@LssSD.org. Individual appointments can also be scheduled.
Families will be provided registration material during an information meeting. Families interested in starting the adoption process will then return their registration paperwork and attend one of our Adoption Education Workshops. Our next workshop is scheduled for October 8 & 9, 2015 and this workshop will be held in Sioux Falls, SD.
