Last week, LSS Mentoring Services staff visited with current and prospective mentors at First PREMIER Bank/PREMIER Bankcard. The business hosted a lunch to thank employees who are currently mentors through the LSS program, and also to encourage more employees to become a mentor.
PREMIER is the local employer with the most mentors, with 80 employees currently volunteering for the program. At the lunch, PREMIER leadership thanked the employee mentors for their commitment. Dave Rozenboom commented that nonprofits often seek time, talent and treasure from individuals and that it is easy to give talent and treasures, but giving time is what can truly make a difference and takes a commitment.
We would like to thank PREMIER employees for their commitment to mentoring and helping us make a difference in the life of so many young people in the Sioux Falls area.
LSS is often invited into local organizations to present on the benefits of mentoring. If you would like a staff member to visit your organization, please let us know and we would be happy to talk about the opportunities mentoring presents.
